Bess Kopitiam serves an award winning Nyonya Laksa, voted by General Public in the http://www.fabfood1malaysia.com in year 2010.
Besides the Nyonya Laksa, Bess serves Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng, and Mee Siam, as well as toasts and pasta which are non-spicy so kids can eat.
Laksa is known for the rich aroma and spicy cilli paste but the Laksa at Bess has mild flavour that softens the outstanding spices, allowing many people to accept the uniqueness of the authentic dish.
Not only their Nyonya Laksa, but also their Nasi Lemak has been growing its fans and I personally think it will eventually overtake the popularity of the Laksa.
The fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk with pandan leaves is nicely loose, sautéed kang kong (green vegetable) is crunchy, the sambal is not too spicy nor sweet with essence of belacan. The combination of all the flavours and texture is what completes this tasteful dish. Add a piece of ayam goreng (fried chicken) to pamper yourself.
Especially in the morning, in front of the shop can get congested and finding a space for parking could be challenging, due to wet market, food court, and shop lots having similar operation hours.
Nyonya Laksa RM5.40
Nasi Lemak RM5.40
Ice Lemon Tea RM3.50
