This shop was operated by a Malay father of 2 daughters 3 sons until sadly he had passed away at the end of 2016. Surprisingly, all of his children are operating roti canai shop in different areas within Melaka, and now this one was taken over by one of his daughters.
The shop is rented only during morning thus they don’t have a sign board. However, they have grown its fans and regulars just by word of mouth, operating successfully for almost 10 years.
Their roti canai is always freshly made into a big square with crispy edges, served with dhal and sambal. Their roti cheese is quite popular too.

Although the roti canai is evenly cooked, crispy but not flakey, it does not have a special essence added by the coal. The curry is mild and contains pieces of vegetables. It seems like they have variety of roti choices such as roti nachos, but it would be more interesting to find out whether a direct heat from the coal will develop a nice flavour and texture to the roti canai.
This place is always packed with mostly Malays throughout the operation hours in the morning. They basically serve all kinds of local malay dish, such as nasi lemak, meehun soup, satay, and all kinds of kuih. The liveliness and energy from the ambience will give you an extra power to kick start the day.

This place is an Indian mamak (casual restaurant) serving arabian kabaab, tandoori, chappati, and other local meals, besides roti canai. Their roti canai is served until 12pm but restarts serving from 4pm.
Their roti canai is always freshly made and crispy at all bites. Somehow it feels like a very standard roti canai without any extra sweetness and greasiness.
The dhal is thick and mild and the sambal adds the spiciness to it, however the ratio of sambal was a bit too much to the dhal that lost its original flavour, so make sure to adjust before blending them all. Ikan (fish) curry was oily and thin.
Their shop is a popular hang out spot for local people until late in the evening for enjoying the meal as well as watching football games on the TV projector.

The dhal and ayam(chicken) curry is slightly thin, the sambal sauce is rather sweet as well as the roti canai itself, but still leave you with a tingling mouth.

Most of the time, roti canai here is freshly made, round and crispy at all layers, but occasionally, coming close to noon, they will reheat a pre-cooked one which is dry and powdery that must be avoided. So make sure to come for breakfast or ask them to make you a fresh one because it is simply superb.
Nevertheless, the two choices of curry, dhal and ikan (fish) is always mouth-watering. Dhall is thick and mild, ikan is spicy and slightly asam (sour).
